Terms and Conditions of the Lexogen Quiz 2017
1. Eligibility
1.1. The contest is open to all participants of Advances in Genome Biology and Technology (AGBT) General Meeting, which is taking place on February 12-16, 2017, Hollywood Beach, Florida, US. This quiz game is not related to, or sponsored by, the AGBT Event organizers. This quiz is organized by Lexogen GmbH and Lexogen, Inc. Lexogen employees and contractors (and their immediate families) are not eligible to participate in this offer.
1.2. By entering the quiz, the entrants agree to: a. to be bound by these terms and conditions; b. that their Name, E-mail and Affiliation may be released if they win a prize; and c. that should they win the quiz, their name and likeness may be used by Lexogen for pre-arranged promotional purposes, i.e. newsletter, the Lexogen web site (www.lexogen.com) and social media announcements.
2. Entering the Quiz
2.1 All participants can access our quiz under the address su.vc/lexogen-quiz.
2.2 The participants have to include their valid Name, Email and Affiliation to start the quiz.
2.3 Each participant has the right to enter the quiz online once. In case of failure, the attempt can be repeated just one more time directly in the Lexogen Suite #321 at AGBT 2017. In case a participant fails to answer all questions correctly, he/she will not win any prize.
2.4 In order to win a prize the participant has to answer correctly all 5 questions. The questions are divided into 5 different topics and 1 question from each topic is chosen randomly by the system. If a participant does not answer correctly one or more of the provided questions, he/she will not win any prize.
2.5 After answering all questions, the participant will receive an E-mail confirmation, sent automatically by the system to their provided E-mail address. In this E-mail will be stated the result from the quiz. The participant who has filled in correctly all 5 questions of the quiz will receive a “Congratulations” E-mail with the following content:
“Thank you for completing successfully our quiz! Please come to Lexogen’s suite at AGBT 2017 and show this Email to the Lexogen team members in order to receive your prize! Besides that, now you will have an opportunity to receive a lottery ticket and have a chance to win more prizes!”
2.6 The participant has to attend the AGBT 2017 Meeting, come to Lexogen suite #321 and show to one of Lexogen team members their “Congratulations” E-mail in order to directly receive their prize.
2.7 Each person is eligible for receiving just one prize.
2.8 The participant who has successfully won a prize can participate in further lottery drawing and win one of the special prizes – iPad mini™4, Bose QuietComfort® 35 wireless headphones, Leica Sofort camera.*
3. Quiz Duration
3.1 The quiz will be open on February 8, 2017, and close on the February 16, 2017 at 12:00 pm.
4. Prizes
4.1 Participants, who successfully answer all 5 questions and come directly to the Lexogen suite at AGBT 2017, can choose between 2 prizes – T-shirt and a Beachball tennis set. These prizes will be given to the participant until they run out of stock. Lexogen keeps its right to substitute one prize with another in case of stocks changes. The prize cannot be substituted by any money value.
4.2 In case of correctly answered all 5 questions, the participants have further the right to participate in the Lexogen lottery in order to win a bigger prize –iPad mini 4, Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones, Leica Sofort camera, by getting one lottery ticket in the Lexogen suite. Models, colours and specifications of the prizes for the lottery are chosen by Lexogen. Lexogen keeps the right to include any changes into the given prizes.
4.3 The winners of the lottery prizes will be announced in the Lexogen suite #321 on February 16, 2017 at 1 pm EST.
4.4 In order to receive one of the lottery prizes, winners must be present at the time of the drawing (February 16, 2017 at 1 pm EST), otherwise the drawing will be repeated until the owner of the winning ticket is among the present participants.
4.5 Lexogen reserves the right to assign the prizes to the winners among the 3 different prizes: iPad mini 4, Bose QuietComfort 35 wireless headphones, Leica Sofort camera.
5. General Conditions
5.1 Lexogen reserves the right to change/modify the terms and conditions of this quiz or to withdraw this quiz at any point of time due to unforeseen circumstances.
6. Miscellaneous
6.1 Lexogen reserves the right to publish the photograph and/or names of all or any prize-winner(s) in promotional materials and advertisements, as it deems fit. Lexogen does not provide any implied warranty on the products/gifts and the warranty on the products should be claimed from the manufacturer of the goods in all circumstances. Participation in the contest denotes acceptance of these terms and conditions and any additional specific terms and conditions, which may be introduced. Our quiz website may use “cookies” to enhance User’s experience. User’s web browser places cookies on their hard drive for record-keeping purposes and sometimes to track information about them. By entering this quiz the participant is accepting that cookies are stored in their browser.
